Level 3: Component View (Node.js BFF)

This view explains how the Node.js BFF is structured internally so implementers can quickly identify where behavior is configured and where routes are handled.

Audience

  • Primary: IDP implementers and operators.
  • Secondary: maintainers reviewing route and component boundaries.

State

  • Current: reflects the active Node.js BFF implementation structure.
  • Target: user-facing workflow structure is tracked in a stack-agnostic Level 3 view.

Notes

  • User-first Level 3 view lives at Level 3: User Workflow Components.
  • Route handlers currently expose root, health, readiness, and summary APIs.
  • Zod is used in route modules that return structured operational payloads.
